Snap2 CMS

Overview

Snap2 is the new content management system for Shodor web applications. Originally, "snap" was an acronym that stood for "Shodor Network Administration Package", but that no longer applies. Snap2 only manages content, such as XML documents, images and applets. The content is organized into a hierarchical system of directories, resources and versions, much like a regular file system. Snap2 can be accessed via a PHP API, which is documented here, or via the Snap2 Admin Tool, which is geared towards users who are uploading and managing content.

This site provides API documentation and guides to using the API, as well as a conceptual overview for how Snap2 works. If you are looking at the internal version of this documentation, you will also see information on the internal Snap2 API and some other otherwise undocumented features.
